Coming off of a tough week, the Melbourne Mavericks have headed to Hobart in hopes of rallying their spirits and coming home with a second win over the Sunshine Coast Lightning.
The Lightning, besting the GIANTS 71-66 will be looking to start their winning streak and prove that they can take on the mighty Mavericks.

Olivia Lewis V Cara Koenen
Liv Lewis will have her work cut out for her this match, roughing it up against the likes of Cara Koenen, a key force for the Lightning. Lewis will have to bring her agile read of the game and willingness to scrap for every loose ball if she wants to best this on the move Goal Shooter, who’s connection with Steph Fretwell is unmatched.
Amy Parmenter V Liz Watson
These two Australian Diamonds will size up against each other nicely, and there is sure to be more than a little bit of push and shove! This is a dynamic duo that will be thrilling to watch. Parmenter has been playing exceptionally well as captain of the Mavericks all season, and will continue to bring that fight for her side and, unquestionably, Watson will have to tussle and work extremely hard for every ball she receives.
Maisie Nankivell V Mahalia Cassidy
Nankivell has been an absolute force to be reckoned with in previous weeks. Her strength and explosiveness has helped her receive many a centre pass, and she has proven herself to be a more than reliable teammate for the Mavericks this season. Cassidy, who too has been tough an exceptional job, will have to have her wits about her should she try to take on the tank that Nankivell is.
