The Mavericks will be well represented at the Commonwealth Games with shooting sensation Uneeq Palavi called up to represent Tonga.
It's a debut appearance at the Commonwealth Games for Palavi and Tonga who qualified at the end of 2025.
"Faith it till you make it, is something I hold so close to me," Palavi said. "It keeps me grounded and reminds me that even if my faith is as small as a mustard seed, I know I’ll succeed.
"Representing Tonga is my highest honour, as representing any country would be for anyone! This means the absolute world to me, I can’t wait to play for all the people back at home.
"I’m not only playing for the last name I carry on my back and the people who held it before me, but also for all the people who never thought playing on the big stage was possible, all the little ones watching back home in the islands seeing that it’s possible to be up against the world best in Netball!
"That is my why and I'll continue to rep it LOUDLY & PROUDLY."
In a funny twist of fate, Tonga have been drawn in Pool A alongside Australia and Pav will come up against teammate JLP in the opening match of the Games.
Tonga will also play England England, South Africa, Malawi and Northern Ireland.
The Commonwealth Games will take place in Glasgow between July 23-August 2.
Earlier this week Jamie-Lee Price was included in the Diamonds squad that will travel to Scotland with Jessie Grenvold and Amy Parmenter named as reserves.
