The Melbourne Mavericks are thrilled to announce that midcourter, Tyler Orr, has signed with the club, with the South Australian bringing elite-level experience and versatility to the Mavs following two successful seasons with London Pulse in the Netball Super League.
One of the most accomplished players outside the Super Netball contracted ranks in recent years, Orr arrives in Melbourne after helping London Pulse claim their inaugural Netball Super League title in 2025, with the team also reading the Grand Final again in 2026. Known for her speed, tenacity and ability to play across centre, wing attack and wing defence, the 26-year-old adds further depth and versatility to the Mavs lineup.
Before her move overseas, Orr was a valued member of the reigning Champions Adelaide Thunderbirds' program for four seasons, serving as a Training Partner from 2021 to 2023 before being elevated to the club's 11th Player in 2024. She also captained the Adelaide Thunderbirds Futures and was voted the side's Players' Player, underlining the leadership qualities and professionalism that have become hallmarks of her game.
Orr's netball résumé also includes Australian underage representation, multiple national championship gold medals and a Super Netball debut with the Collingwood Magpies in 2020, reflecting a career built on persistence and high performance across a range of environments.
Orr said the opportunity to join the Mavs was one she was eager to embrace.
"I'm incredibly excited to be joining the Mavs and returning to Australia after two amazing seasons with Pulse," Orr said. "The club achieved so much last year and it's clear there's a really strong culture and vision for where the Mavs are heading."
"My time overseas helped me grow enormously both as a player and as a person. Having the opportunity to play consistent netball, experience success, and challenge myself in a different environment has been invaluable.
"I'm really looking forward to bringing those experiences into this group and contributing however I can."
Mavs Head Coach, Gerard Murphy, said Orr was an exciting addition to the club.

Orr joins Reilley Batcheldor, Kim Brown, Tara Hinchliffe, Sacha McDonald, Shimona Nelson, Amy Parmenter, Jamie-Lee Price and Zara Walters in recommitting to the Mavericks ahead of the 2027 Super Netball season.
