The Melbourne Mavericks along with Diamond Partner, Lean Cuisine are thrilled to announce that renowned Australian singer-songwriter, Delta Goodrem, will be performing live at their Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) Round 1 game on April 5.
With the Mavs second season expected to get underway with a bang when they take on the Sunshine Coast Lightning at John Cain Arena – a team they beat twice during their inaugural season – the on-court action will begin before the first centre pass, with Goodrem performing live.
This exciting event is made possible by Mav’s Diamond Partner, Lean Cuisine, who have recently undergone a creative rebrand to align with their new strategic vision. Lean Cuisine's 2025 creative rebrand focuses on enhancing customer engagement through innovative partnerships and activations. Goodrem’s performance aims to inspire Mavs and netball fans alike to tune out to the noise and embrace Lean Cuisine’s mantra of ‘listen to nobody but your body’.
Mavs General Manager, Shae Bolton-Brown, said the announcement of Goodrem’s performance gave fans an extra reason to be excited about Round 1.
“As a club, we are raring to go and ready hit the court for our first home game of the 2025 SSN season,” Bolton-Brown said. “The players don’t need much more motivation than to finally put all their hard work throughout the pre-season into effect when we take on the Lightning. However, for our members and fans, to have an artist of Delta’s calibre also joining us to celebrate Round 1 thanks to Lean Cuisine, it’s going to be a really great night on and off the court.”
Anand Surujpal, Chief Marketing and Growth Officer of Patties Food Group, parent company of Lean Cuisine, reflected Bolton-Brown's comments.
"We are incredibly excited to have Delta Goodrem perform at the Melbourne Mavericks' opening game of the season. This performance is a perfect example of our commitment to creating memorable experiences that resonate with our audience. Our Lean Cuisine rebrand is all about listening to nobody but your body, and we believe Delta's music embodies that message beautifully."
The Mavs Round 1 clash against the Sunshine Coast Lightning, will take place at John Cain Arena on Saturday 5 April 2025, with the match beginning at 7pm AEDT.
