The Melbourne Mavericks' versatile midcourter, Tayla Fraser, is set to undergo a fitness test later this week to determine her availability for Sunday's clash against the Giants at John Cain Arena. Fraser missed last week's game against the Queensland Firebirds due to a lower leg injury, which the club decided to manage proactively.
High Performance Manager Chris Howley also provided an update on Rolene Streutker, who has been sidelined with an ankle injury since early May. "Rolene is making strong progress, and with everything continuing to go according to plan, we should see her return to match play in the next 2-3 weeks," said Howley.
It was also a milestone week for the long-term injury pair of Sasha Glasgow and Lauren Moore:
"Sasha is going well and commenced running last week following her lower leg fractures, to the delight of the players and staff watching along. She is making good strength gains in the gym too," Howley added.
On Lauren Moore, Howley stated, "Lauren is also out of her brace and has returned to the program following her ACL reconstruction. She has begun a strength and conditioning training block along with her rehabilitation."
