The Melbourne Mavericks are proud to partner with Macca’s and Ronald McDonald House as the official match day partner for the Mavs’ Round 6 Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) clash with the West Coast Fever.
Ronald McDonald House supports families with seriously ill or injured children by providing accommodation, care and essential services close to hospitals, ensuring families can stay together during some of their most difficult times.
Fans attending the game at John Cain Arena on Sunday 19 April will have the opportunity to donate and help raise vital funds for Ronald McDonald House throughout the afternoon. Every contribution directly supports families staying at Ronald McDonald House while their child receives medical treatment.
To make a donation fans can either text ‘HOME’ to 0400 662 662 and follow the prompts (all donations over $2 made via the text function are tax deductible), or look out for one of the friendly Ronald McDonald House volunteers rattling tins at the venue on match day. However you choose to give, your generosity ensures no child faces medical treatment alone.
Mavs General Manager, Shae Bolton‑Brown, said the club was proud to once again support a cause so closely aligned with family, community and care.
“Ronald McDonald House provides an incredible support system for families during the most challenging times of their lives,” Bolton‑Brown said. “As a club, we’re passionate about using our platform to help raise awareness and support causes that truly make a difference, and we’re grateful to Macca’s and our fans for getting behind this important round.”
Ronald McDonald House Victoria & Tasmania CEO, Peter Bishop, said being part of the Mavericks match day experience would make a meaningful impact.
“Being part of the Melbourne Mavericks game for a second year means a lot to the families that we support,” Bishop said.
“Every donation made ensures families have a safe, supported place to stay while their child receives treatment. The more we raise together, the more families we can be there for.”
