On the eve of the 2025 Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) season, the Melbourne Mavericks are thrilled to announce the continuation of their partnership with McDonald's Australia.
Building on their successful inaugural year of collaboration in 2024, Macca’s has re-committed to a two-year term, which will see them remain a part of the Mavs family until 2026.
This partnership will see Macca’s give back to the communities in which they operate by providing unforgettable inner sanctum experiences to junior netballers.
Thanks to Macca’s, junior Mavs fans will have the chance to deliver the match day ball at each home game through a competition hosted on the Mavs’ social media platforms. Macca’s will also sponsor the ‘Mavs Mascots’, giving 10 juniors netballers the opportunity to walk onto the court with the players at each home match.
The famous Golden Arches will also continue to feature on the Mavs’ playing dress across the 2025 season.
In addition, the partnership will shine a light on the invaluable work of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) Victoria and Tasmania through a dedicated RMHC Match Day over the Easter long weekend. The Mavs’ Round 3 match against the Giants will see families of seriously ill or injured children staying with RMHC join in on the fun, with Mavs fans in attendance encouraged to support this worthy cause.
General Manager of the Melbourne Mavericks, Shae Bolton-Brown, expressed her enthusiasm for the renewed partnership.
"We are delighted to continue our journey with McDonald's for year two of the Mavs. McDonald’s commitment to our team and the community is truly inspiring, and we look forward to achieving great things together over the next two years."
Mary Vrančić, Senior Director of Marketing at McDonald's Australia, added:
"We are excited to extend our partnership with the Melbourne Mavericks into years two and three of the franchise. This collaboration allows us to give back to the communities we serve and continue to support the incredible work of Ronald McDonald House Charities. We can't wait to see what we can further achieve together."
The Mavs 2025 season kicks off tomorrow, April 5, when they host the Sunshine Coast Lightning in their Round 1 SSN clash at John Cain Arena.
