The Melbourne Mavericks are getting ready to hit the court for the first time in 2025!
After a strong start to their pre-season in 2024 – capped off by two wins against the Giants at games hosted in the north and north west of Tasmania in December – the Mavs will be hitting the court for another three pre-season matches in 2025.
First up the Mavs will face the state’s best male netballers when they take on the Victorian Open Men’s team, before they take on the might of the West Coast Fever, who finished in third position on the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball (SSN) ladder. Finally, they’ll play the Northern Mystics on the eve of the SSN season proper – the Mystics are reigning champions of New Zealand’s National Netball League, and will be looking to become even more potent in 2025 with the addition of Australian Diamond, Donnell Wallam, to their attack.
