The Melbourne Mavericks are proud to join forces with The Tie Dye Project, as the sarcoma charity prepares to host their first-ever Melbourne event.
Founded by Melbourne Mavericks captain, Amy Parmenter, and co-run by two-time osteosarcoma survivor, Molly Croft, The Tie Dye Project sells hand-dyed products to raise money for sarcoma-related initiatives.
On Friday 24 January, 2025, The Tie Dye Project will be hosting their first-ever Melbourne event at the Mavericks’ training base; the Waverley Netball Centre. The event will offer fans and supporters a hands-on day of tie-dyeing with their favorite Mavericks players, while also supporting an incredibly meaningful cause.
Thanks to the generous support of Touchdown Helicopters who have come on board for the exclusive event, 100% of the proceeds from the event will go directly towards The Tie Dye Project and the initiatives it supports.
Parmenter expressed her excitement about the collaboration.
“We’re so excited to have the support of the Mavs to bring The Tie Dye Project to Melbourne for the very first time. It’s a chance to raise awareness and funds for sarcoma-related initiatives, and thanks to Touchdown Helicopters coming on board, it means we’re going to be able to raise even more money for our cause.
Tie-dying and netball and two different and unique ways to connect with our local community, and so it’s great to be able to invite our Mavs fans to join us for this event.”
General Manager of the Melbourne Mavericks, Shae Bolton-Brown, also shared her enthusiasm for the initiative.
“We’re so proud to continue working with The Tie Dye Project and continue supporting their work through such a unique event. Not only is it a fun way to spend the day with our fans, but it’s also an opportunity to support Amy and Molly’s amazing work in raising funds and awareness for sarcoma. We can’t wait to see everyone there!”
Touchdown Helicopters owner, Brett Kiteley, added; “We’re thrilled to be involved in such a fantastic cause, impacting the lives of so many. We’re proud to support Amy Parmenter in her endeavours.”
