Tracey Neville

Tracey, the face of Mavericks, was appointed Head Coach ahead of the Mavs’ inaugural season in 2024.  A former England player and former England head coach, Tracey knows everything there is to know about netball.

As a player she was a part of England’s bronze medals at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the 1999 World Netball Championships. She was also head coach of Manchester Thunder in the Netball Super league during their title wins in 2012 and 2014. 

During her tenure as England head coach from 2015 to 2019, Tracey led the Roses to gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and bronze medals at both 2015 and 2019 Netball World Cups.

In 2023, Tracey took up her first coaching role within the SSN as Assistant Coach of the Adelaide Thunderbirds, who would go on to win their inaugural SSN title that same year.  The following year she made the move to Melbourne to head up the league’s newest franchise.

Tracey brings a wealth of knowledge and experience from her involvement in coaching an array of teams and athletes, demonstrating why she is the perfect person to lead the Mavs.
