Uneeq – a formidable presence inside the shooting circle – is an Australian-raised, Tongan international player, who was a standout for Tonga at the 2023 World Cup. She was first selected for the Tonga national team in 2019 for the Pacific Games in Apia. Following in 2022, Uneeq shared the series MVP and the Grand Final MVP medal at the 2022 Pacific Australia Netball series.
Uneeq made her SSN debut in 2024 when she was selected as a Temporary Replacement Player for the New South Wales Swifts.
After an impressive first year with the Mavericks as a Temporary Replacement Player, Uneeq was elevated to a full playing contract for the 2026 SSN season – and as a fan favourite – we are delighted that Pav will stay a Mav into the next season.
