Shimona Jok

Shimona is the definition of what we call a Maverick - she started off 2024 season as a Training Partner, before being elevated to be the club’s inaugural 11th Player. Fast forward to the end of the season, and she was named the club’s inaugural MVP! Shimona made her international debut for Jamaica in early 2017, and she has gone on to represent the Sunshine Girls at Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, as well as the 2023 Netball World Cup in Cape Town. She made her move to Adelaide in 2018 where she was selected by the Adelaide Thunderbirds as a replacement player. Following her inaugural SSN season, Shimona made her move to Melbourne to play for the Collingwood Magpies from 2019 to 2023. Alongside travelling for netball, Shimona has a degree in Psychology and has worked as an ICU nurse.FIND OUT MORE
